Who is Eligible for the PMAY Scheme?
PMAY scheme is for the people of Economically Weaker Sections (EWS), Low-Income Groups (LIG) and Middle-Income Groups (MIG) in both rural and urban areas of India because its objective is that no poor stay at home.
- Economically Weaker Sections (EWS): Households with an annual income of up to Rs. 3 lakhs.
- Low-Income Groups (LIG): Households with an annual income between Rs. 3 lakhs and Rs. 6 lakhs.
- Middle-Income Groups (MIG): Households with an annual income between Rs. 4 lakhs and Rs. 12 lakhs.
Benefits of the PMAY Scheme

Credit Linked Subsidy Scheme (CLSS)
The PMAY scheme provides a Credit Linked Subsidy Scheme (CLSS) to the beneficiaries. The subsidy on the home loan ranges from 20% to 35% depending on the category of the beneficiary.
Affordable Housing Units

- Enter your Aadhaar number to start the application process.

- Upload the necessary documents such as Aadhaar card, income certificate, etc.
- Submit the application.
PMAY Application Process-Gramin
- Visit the official website of PMAY-Gramin pmayg.nic.in
- Click on the “Stakeholders” option and select “IAY/PMAYG Beneficiary”.
- Enter your registration number or BPL number to start the application process.
- Fill in the required details such as personal information, income details, residential address, etc.
- Upload the necessary documents such as Aadhaar card, income certificate, etc.
- Submit the application.
